The public launch of what was to soon become the world’s most popular online social networking service happened a few months later on July 15, 2006. On March 21, 2006, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey posted the first ever tweet, when the service was called ‘Twttr.’ He tweeted, ‘just setting up my twttr.’
