The popular blogging platform WordPress has reached an important milestone as it now powers more than 50 million sites, about half of which are hosted on WordPress.com. They have updated their official stats page to count WordPress installations as well as WordPress.com blogs.
Facebook’s incredible worldwide growth has reached another major milestone. The social networking site now has 750 million monthly active users.
Twitter has achieved yet another milestone on June 30, 2011, it's users now send 200 million tweets per day. A billion tweets are sent every five days on Twitter. This is up from 65 million tweets per day a year ago. Two years ago, just 10 million tweets were sent per day.
According to tracking service Giga Tweet, Twitter has now crossed a record 20 billion tweets, just two months after the previous milestone of 15 billion tweets. Twitter sets this milestone when a Japanese twitter user sent world's 20 billionth tweet of the four-year-old website.
Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg made it official on the company’s blog on July 21, 2010 that the social networking site now has 500 million monthly active users.

If you are on the micro-blogging site twitter then your milestones could be when your twitter follower count reaches a certain significant number, say first 100 followers, then one day 1000 followers, and then 10,000 followers, and so on.
