August 15, 2017 marks the 71st Independence Day of India. Search giant Google dedicated its latest artistic doodle to the Independence Day of India 2017. The doodle includes a motif of Indian Parliament, a symbolic wheel for the Ashoka Chakra and two India’s national bird peacock in the colours of the national flag, saffron, green, white and blue. The word ‘Google’ is displayed across the Parliament House, made out of ribbons of the Indian tricolour. The doodle has been designed by a Mumbai based artist, Sabeena Karnik, who is known for her paper technique artwork.

The doodle shows a stadium full of people lined with the three colours of Indian flag: saffron, white and green. The doodle shows one-half of the stadium, with the crowd on two corners, while a saffron-coloured band runs along the inner periphery of the semi-circular track.
