December Global Festivities — New Year’s Day 2018
Google is marking 2017 December global festivities with a continuous series of interactive holiday Doodles about a pair of penguins’ holiday to visit their warm-weather relatives, a toucan and a parrot. The four-part series started on December 18 of the Christmas season showed penguins and a parrot on a call, seemingly planning the holidays. The doodle also showed the penguins packing for a vacation. The series reached its conclusion today on January 1, 2018.
The final installment in the December global festivities series, published today, shows that our feathery friends are watching the sunrise of the new year’s day.
First Panel: The first panel of the doodle showcases penguin pals watching the sunrise of the new year’s day.
Second, Third and Fourth Panels: The second, third and fourth panels are from previous parts of the series. In these images, penguins are seen enjoying the holidays with friends with sparklers and feast.
Fifth Panel:The fifth panel showcases how penguin pals are back home.
Sixth and last Panel: The sixth panel which has been constant in all the parts showcases all the gift boxes with number 18, 25, 31 and 1 (showcasing the dates of occasions and when the new doodle will come up) are now open which also indicates that the series is completed.
