Google Feature — Mother’s Day Animated Doodle
Mother’s Day 2017
Mother’s Day is being celebrated every year on the second Sunday of May across the world, including India. This day is specially dedicated to the woman who devotes all her life for the well-being of her children and in return for this selfless love from her, she expects nothing.
Search giant Google celebrates this international special day by dedicating a heart-warming ‘cactus mom’ doodle to all the mothers in various parts of the world. The animated doodle represents the celebration of ‘motherhood’ and has honoured all the sacrifices a mother makes for her child.
The Google Doodle is an animated series, depicted the story of a pregnant mother cactus and her journey from giving birth to her baby, to taking care of it, and finally living a settled life with the grown up kids.
There are six different animated images which show the six different stages in mother’s life. The first image shows a pregnant cactus waiting to give birth and eager to take on the responsibility. The second image shows the process of watering the plant which represents mother’s breastfeeding her newborn. The next three images show the journey of the child growing up under the mother’s love and guidance, and finally ends with a happy cacti family living happily together.
On clicking the doodle, it takes the visitor to Google search result page for news on Mother’s Day 2017.
