Halloween is coming up next Saturday. Many people around the world celebrate Halloween, which occurs annually on October 31 by holding super parties, dressing up and going ‘trick or treating’. It used to be called All Hallows Eve, or the day before All Saints’ Day, observed on November 1. Witches’ hats and carved pumpkins symbolize Halloween. Many homes and party venues are decorated to fit the Halloween theme during this period. Decorations include fake cobwebs, jack-o-lanterns and images of black cats or witches. Other elements of the Pagan celebration are retained, as Halloween is still a night to remember the spirits and other supernatural themes.
