ICC Cricket World Cup 2011
Stumpy, a ten year old elephant, is the official mascot for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. He was unveiled at a function in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Friday, April 2, 2010. He is very young, enthusiastic, and bursting at the seams with his love for cricket and its heroes. He thinks cricket is the most fun game in the world. He loves playing street cricket, would play 24/7 if he could, and dreams of playing in the World Cup one day.
Thousands of cricket fans around the world were able to participate in a contest to name the mascot. The official name of the mascot was released on Monday, August 2, 2010 after an online competition conducted by the International Cricket Council in the last week of July, 2010. His name was unveiled by leading stars, including Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Kumar Sangakkara.

The Cricket World Cup will take place between February 19 and April 2, 2011. The tenth Cricket World Cup will be hosted by three South Asian Test cricket playing countries: India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
