Twitter News – Lalu Yadav on Twitter
More and more politicians are recognizing the importance of social media, and ultimately RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav opened an account on Twitter.
His first message on his account on January 14, 2014 read, “Only change is constant. With change, we change… finally on twitter. Stay connected.”

Out of jail on bail, Lalu has started politics from Twitter, and posts his first political tweet on January 16, 2014 in Hindi, “To overthrow communal forces from our country, we are engaged in bringing together like-minded parties.”
देश से साम्प्रदायिक शक्तियों को उखाड़ फेंकने के लिए हम समान विचारधारा वाले अन्य दलों को गोलंबद करने में लगे हुए है।

Lalu Prasad Yadav always remain in the news. While many consider him as one of the most seasoned politicians, some dub him a jester.
Targeting people who ridicule him, he tweeted in Hindi on January 17, 2014, “Those who think I am funny, good sense, sight, or country mean nothing to them, I shall keep on treating such people.”
जो लोग सोचते हैं मैं मज़ाकिया हूँ,ऐसे लोगों का जिनको न अक्ल से,शक्ल से,न देश से मतलब है ऐसे लोगों का मैं ट्रीटमेंट करता रहा हूँ|

Lalu’s entry on social media has been radical considering his famed comment as Bihar’s chief minister in early nineties, “Ye IT-YT kya hota hain” (what is this IT). Prasad had said this while not extending his support to computerization in state government offices.
Unfazed by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s snide remark against him for joining Twitter, he tweeted in Hindi on January 18, 2014, “Nitishji, wait and see how wisdom of old and energy of youth would combine through the use of twitter to bring a change in the State.”
