On teacher’s day, a colorful and animated google doodle pays tribute to the birth anniversary of one of India’s most famous and revered teachers, and its first vice president and the second president, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He also happened to be one of the most learned scholars of all times, statesman, great teacher, and philosopher. He was awarded with the Bharat Ratna in 1984 and the British Royal Order of Merit in 1963.

Today, on Christmas Eve, Google spreads more cheer with yet another doodle on ‘Tis The Season, where we see the Google letters making hearts, stars, smiley faces and hand-prints behind fogged up windows. Like yesterday’s Google Doodles, the animated images are designed by Gerben Steenks and come in two versions.

In the backdrop are two bunches of bright balloons. Each bunch has three balloons representing the six letters G O O G L E.

Google has commemorated the 151st birth anniversary of Wilbur Lincoln Scoville who invented pepper heat scale. Wilbur Scoville, an American chemist born in Bridgeport Connecticut on January 22, 1865, is responsible for the “Scoville Organoleptic Test”, a scale of “hotness” that has been the definitive rating of how spicy a chilli is for more than 100 years.
