Today marks the 96th birth anniversary of Dr Har Gobind Khorana (January 9, 1922 – November 9, 2011), who was a pioneering Indian-American biochemist. He was Nobel Prize Winner for Physiology or Medicine in 1968 for unraveling the nucleotide sequence of RNA and deciphering the genetic code.
