The new tab with your @Username keeps you up to date on your tweets that are favorites, the latest retweets (of your tweets), tweets directed to you (replies and mentions), tweeps who have listed you, and your new followers.

Twitter rolled out two new tabs, @Username that replaced @Mentions and Retweets tabs, and the Activity tab on August 10, 2011. I have sour feelings about these new features which have come to me after three months waiting, and still full of bugs.

Twitter is all about sharing information. Twitter’s Retweet (RT) feature enables you to quickly share a message on your timeline that you have liked with your followers who may have either missed out or didn’t receive on their timeline as they are not following the author of the tweet.
