Today is the 168th birth anniversary of Annie Besant, a prominent British socialist, theosophist, women’s rights activist, writer and orator. She was also supporter of Irish and Indian self-rule. Google on its search page has created Annie Besant’s doodle to pay tribute on her birthday.
