This is the dramatic moment lightning strikes the Grand Canyon. Photographer Rolf Maeder had been on his way to snap the sunset in Arizona, America, but noticed thunderclouds rolling in above him. Before his eyes a lightning storm attacked the ancient rock of the Grand Canyon, allowing him to snap this unforgettable picture.

The heart-warming photograph shows an incredible bond between a WILD lioness and the men fighting to save her species. The amazing picture shows Sirga – a 110 lb lioness – and one of her adopted pride Valentin Gruener and Mikkel Legarth.
Incredibly she treats the two men just like she would other lions and with their help she can now hunt for prey on her own.
