The New Year is here and the search giant Google is welcoming the New Year 2019 with an animated adorable doodle. The cute elephant on the left is seen bouncing in joy on a balloon that it was seen blowing yesterday, and taking a spin mid-air. The other baby elephant on the right is seen blowing out a 2019 popcorn banner from his trunk, before it crumbles to the ground. It appears that it was collecting and not eating the popcorn yesterday. Above them, the wall is adorned with festoons and a clock that has just hit midnight signifying New Year 2019. The Google logo is also seen in the decorations.

The animated doodle features a pair of purple, baby elephants, wearing a yellow and a green party cap each, spiritedly waiting for the clock to strike midnight.

August 15, 2018 marks the 72nd Independence Day of India. Search giant Google dedicated its latest colorful and vibrant doodle to the India Independence Day 2018. Google mentioned that the doodle was a tribute to truck art seen on Indian roads. The doodle features images of some of India’s iconic colorful plant life like the mangoes and the lotus, a peacock-couple at the centre, flanked by an elephant and a tiger, with the sun rising in the backdrop.

Today marks the 78th birth anniversary of legendary Indian Test cricketer Dilip Narayan Sardesai (August 8, 1940 – July 2, 2007). He was the only Goa-born cricketer to play for India, and was often regarded as India’s best batsman against spin bowling. He was known as Indian cricket’s Renaissance Man. He was nicknamed Sardee-man by West Indian fans. He passed away in 2007, aged 67, due to a chest infection.

She was also a playback singer, and a talented Urdu poetess under the pseudonym Naaz. Tanha Chand, a collection of her poems was published after her death in 1972. Remembered as the tragedy queen, she is also called Female Guru Dutt of Hindi films and is often remembered as the Cinderella of Indian films.

He is known as a scientist who revolutionized biochemistry with his pioneering work in DNA chemistry. Google today celebrates the 96th Birth Anniversary of Dr Har Gobind Khorana with a doodle.
