Weekend Video Post
KFC’s advertising usually leaves out the fact that the company tortures chickens for profit.
KFC suppliers cram birds by the tens of thousands into huge waste-filled sheds, breed and drug them to grow so large that they aren’t able to support their weight, and often break their wings and legs. At slaughter, chickens are hung upside down, their throats are slit and they are dropped into tanks of scalding-hot water – often while they are still conscious.
KFC’s own animal welfare advisors have asked the company to take steps to eliminate these abuses, but KFC refuses to do so. Many advisors have now resigned in frustration.
