Social Media – Klout
Weekend Video Post – Interview of Joe Fernandez
Klout is a web-based service that measures the degree to which one is influential or has clout on the social media like Twitter and Facebook.
Klout introduced the +K feature which lets you vote for a user on Twitter or Facebook who has recently influenced you in a topic. Klout users get five +K every day, which they can give to any influencer in any topic. You can give +K to the same influencer in a given topic once every seven days.
Klout announced on their official blog on June 1, 2011 about the release of a new feature called +K.
Today we’re releasing a new feature on Klout.com. We call it +K, and it’s the ability to vouch for your peers’ influence in topics.

Famed blog Scobleizer published a video interview of Klout’s CEO Joe Fernandez by video blogger Robert Scoble on June 2, 2011 about the latest feature. I found it interesting, and would like to share it with my blog’s readers in this weekend’s Video Blog Post.
The video was uploaded on YouTube by Scobleizer on Jun 1, 2011. Here’s the video.
Exclusive CEO Interview
Klout introduces “+K” social media influence gifts
Klout shows you how you rank on social media sites, like Twitter and Facebook. Joe Fernandez came over recently for a discussion about the service and also a preview of the new +K system, announced today.
For many companies Klout is the way they verify the influence of a user on social media systems. It isn’t perfect, but it’s the best one I’ve found out there so far, so I wanted to talk with Joe Fernandez, CEO/co-founder, about the service and how it works and the new +K system.
He covers why important people in the real world, like Warren Buffett, don’t get high Klout scores and what they are doing to rectify that.

This is a very timely post. I have found you to be very influential for over a year now, and in the last week, have actually +K’d you 3 or 4 times over at Klout. Thank you!
Thanks Linda! Please, remember you can +K someone in a topic once in 7 days. Of course, you may +K him in another topic any day.
