Twitter News – Tweet Activity Dashboard

Twitter had introduced Twitter Analytics earlier this year but it was available only to advertisers, verified users, and Twitter card publishers. On August 27, 2014, Twitter revamped Tweet activity dashboard and open up access to EVERYONE. Now, anyone with a Twitter account may know how your Tweets are performing.

Twitter’s official account made the announcement on August 27, 2014:

The tweet activity dashboard in Twitter Analytics will show users how people engage with their tweets in real time, compare tweet activity month over month and also see how an individual tweet has performed. Users can also download their tweet metrics.

To access the Tweet activity dashboard, log into Twitter Analytics with your Twitter username and password.

Note:
The Tweet activity dashboard is available to users who primarily tweet in English, French, Japanese, or Spanish, and have had an account for at least 14 days.

Tweet Activity Dashboard

The Tweet activity dashboard is a tool you can use to learn more about your Tweets. For instance:

  • See how people engage with your Tweets in real time
  • Compare your Tweet activity month over month and see how your Tweets trend over time
  • Click on any Tweet to get a detailed view of the number of Retweets, replies, favorites, follows or clicks it receives
  • Download your Tweet metrics

You may use analytics to measure:

  • Tweet activity
    Measure engagement and learn how to make your Tweets more successful.
  • Followers
    Explore the interests, locations, and demographics of your followers.
  • Twitter Cards
    Track how your Twitter Cards drive clicks, app installs, and Retweets.

From the main dashboard, you can see the number of impressions each tweet receives:
Your Tweets earned 35.7K impressions over the last 28 days.

Your Tweets
So far today, your Tweets have earned 478 impressions. This is lower than your 28-day average of 1.3K impressions per day.

Engagements: Total number of times a user interacted with a Tweet. Clicks anywhere on the Tweet, including retweets, replies, follows, favorites, links, cards, hashtags, embedded media, username, profile photo, or Tweet expansion.

Followers

You can also check the growth of your follower base, and other pertinent statistics including what types of content are usually on your tweets and the gender and location breakup of your followers.

    • Top interests?
    • Top cities
  • Location
  • Gender
  • Your followers also follow

Twitter Cards help you richly represent your content on Twitter.
