Society3 has launched an all new level of online influence tool – appearoo. The product started it’s beta live as XeeMe. Appearoo is the new name for XeeMe. The transition from XeeMe to appearoo would take place in three phases.

Appearoo is an amazing software tool that stimulates the democratization of influence. It helps you gain more online influence by making it easy to involve more people in what’s important to you. The tool significantly raises the level of attention for your online appearance and helps better leverage your content and grows your followers. Users automatically apply simple techniques to become much more influential.
Axel Schultze, CEO of Society3 company, informed registered XeeMe members on September 1, 2014 via email that they found a great new name for XeeMe. The new feel good name is appearoo for a new appearance.
He further explained the three phases of transition:
Phase I
XeeMe will remain as is. Appearoo is on a new code base and looks only slightly different. The UI / UX overhaul is still to come. You will still manage your appearoo by logging into XeeMe for now.
Phase II
October 1 we will start a crowd funding campaign to give appearoo an all new UI / UX and potentially a mobile app, better analytics and more. We hope to get enough funding to do it all and deliver a great all new version in spring 2015.
Phase III
Once the new release is completed and well received, we will merge XeeMe onto appearoo so that no matter if somebody clicks on a xeeme.com/yourname or appearoo.com/yourname it will land on the brand new and beautiful appearoo.
NO WORRIES Xeeme.com/yourname will remain active as long as you are on either domain.
The honest XeeMe user would like to know the reason for the name change. The Company explains:
- The main reason for the name change is the customer feedback who mentioned that it is too difficult to know how to pronounce it.
- Another reason for the name change is a major change in the UI / UX – October 1, the Company will start a crowd funding campaign to get the funding to do what need to be done.
The success of any program doesn’t depend upon a handful of loyal supporters and sponsors BUT participation of a large number of active members. The Company claims that the amazing tool would make it easy to be found online, growing more followers, and gaining more influence. We will have to wait till Spring of 2015 to see if it’s a cosmetic name change or true democratization of influence.
