WordPress News – New Release
WordPress 3.0 named Thelonious was released on June 17, 2010 after half a year of work by 218 contributors. It is the thirteenth major release of WordPress. It includes major new features, a new default theme called Twenty Ten, integration of WordPress MU into WordPress, allowing the management of multiple sitesfrom one WordPress installation. Theme developers have new APIs that allow them to easily implement custom backgrounds, headers, shortlinks, menus, post types, and taxonomies.
The popular blogging platform WordPress have announced on their official blog the release of WordPress 3.0 Thelonious.

Arm your vuvuzelas: WordPress 3.0, the thirteenth major release of WordPress and the culmination of half a year of work by 218 contributors, is now available for download (or upgrade within your dashboard). Major new features in this release include a sexy new default theme called Twenty Ten.
