Social Media — YouTube
Like Google, YouTube is getting into the holiday spirit too by adding a snowflake button on some of its videos.
Keeping in line with Google’s let it snow Easter egg where your results page fogs up when you search the phrase, YouTube now has a new snowflake button on some of its videos that allows snowflakes to fall and accumulate at the bottom of the video.
The button appears at the bottom right-hand side of the video. When you click it, snowflakes begin to fall from the top of the video. The snowflakes keep falling and accumulate at the bottom of the video, even when you hit the pause button. If you click the snowflake button again, snowflakes stop falling and the video clears up.

Instead of the typical circle-shaped, time-counter that shows the progress of a playing video on YouTube, some videos feature snowflake-shaped buttons instead.
Results pages on YouTube feature flurries too though not impressive when you search for “snow.”

YouTube’s snowflake button works like this: Open the video below, press the red snowflake button at the bottom right-hand side of the video. Then watch it snow, swatting away snowflakes with your cursor if you feel so inclined. Press the red snowflake button again to make it all stop.
